Tell us about your background and what are you doing at Crosskey?

I studied Psychology and Information Technology. Before transitioning into tech, I worked as a Sign Language Interpreter and later as a Communications and Fundraising Manager. Now, I'm a Frontend Developer at Crosskey.

Why did you choose a career in tech?

Tech is an industry that is impactful, flexible, and open to a diverse range of talent. It fosters creativity, problem solving and continuous learning - all of which aligns with my values and drive for growth.

How has Crosskey promoted your career and personal growth?

Crosskey gave me the opportunity to start my career in tech through a trainee-ship, which shows its commitment to nurturing talent at all levels. Crosskey recognizes the importance of providing juniors with valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and growth opportunities. This essentially creates an environment where learning and development are truly encouraged.

Why should young women go for tech, and what advice would you give women considering a career in tech?

Tech is an exciting field that encourages innovation, creativity, problem-solving and continuous learning. If you are looking for a dynamic and rewarding career, then tech is for you - regardless of gender. My advice would be don’t let stereotypes hold you back.

What changes do you like to see in the tech industry to make it more interesting and inclusive for women?

I would love to see a shift in how we define the industry - tech is for creatives, problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. By showcasing these aspects, it becomes more inviting, accessible and inclusive for everyone.
