Tell us about your background and what are you doing at Crosskey?

I have an academic background in economics but also took several HR courses during and after my studies. When I first joined Crosskey,I had a split role between finance and HR, which was a perfect fit as it allowed me to explore both areas. Later, I had the opportunity to fully focus on finance, but I soon realized that my true passion was in HR. Since then, I have worked in various HR roles, and today I am an HR Specialist.

Why did you choose a career in tech?

I have always had an interest in technology, but my decision to join Crosskey was more driven by the great things I had heard about the company rather than the industry itself. Over time, I have come to realize that the tech industry is young and modern, with a culture shaped by innovation, flexibility, and freedom—rather than traditional hierarchies. That is something I truly value.

How has Crosskey promoted your career and personal growth?

What has contributed most to my development at Crosskey is the culture – a culture where everyone is supportive, helps each other (team before self), and is encouraged to try new things. Here, you are given the freedom to experiment, which drives not only personal growth but also the company's development.

I have been given the opportunity to make an impact and have received great trust from managers and management – often with the mindset, "You know this best." This has given me both freedom and responsibility.

Why should young women go for tech, what advice would you give women that are considering a career in tech?

The tech industry is an exciting field where change happens fast, and you get to be part of developing new solutions that impact society as a whole. There is always something new to learn and explore.

My advice to those considering a career in tech is to take the leap— you don’t need to know everything from the start. With curiosity and drive, you will go far.

What changes do you like to see in the tech industry to make it more interesting and inclusive for women?

During my seven years in the industry, I have seen a positive shift with more women entering tech, and I hope that trend continues. To make the industry even more inclusive, I believe having more female role models and mentors is key, along with initiatives that help women discover this field and encourage them to pursue a career in tech.
